Permanent Fulltime Position – Brisbane CBD, QLD Location

The Role

The Principal Health & Safety Advisor will be responsible for the following tasks:

Lead a team to plan, design and operationalise health and safety functions within the organisation
Contribute to strategic planning in line with organisational goals relating to work, workplace and worker health and safety.
Plan, formulate, develop, implement, and monitor work health and safety management system and performance standards which establish compliance with relevant legislation.
Research, develop and implement systems and initiatives, practices and policies relating to work health and safety to support the corporate health and safety management system framework.
Develop documentation, including executive briefs, policies, procedures, reports, staff communications and review proposals on work health and safety issues and initiatives.

The Candidate

Established skills and experience in work health and safety preferably in a large or highly regulated organisation
Experience in managing a safety management system compliant with ISO 45001:2018 would be highly regarded
High standards of written and verbal communication
Demonstrated experience in a similar level role
Demonstrated good knowledge of relevant legislation
Wants to work in an environment where your efforts make a real difference every day.
