Contract or Temp | Brisbane | CBD and Inner SuburbsPurpose of the role
This role is responsible for all aspects of safety in the allocated portfolio. This includes implementing and applying safety policies, systems and processes; conducting risk assessments and delivering practical solutions.
It also provides hands-on support to the managers & teams; engaging with all key stakeholders on safety & compliance (internal and external) and safety training. The role upskills managers; ensuring legislative compliance and provides support across the allocated portfolio.

Travel Requirements
This is a Full time role. Duration is 2 to 3 months with the possibility of Permanent Placement for interested candidates.
Travel is required around Australia and occasionally overseas.

- Have robust, fit for purpose processes and procedures in place to deliver our commitments to Health, Safety, and Environment.
- Meet our requirements under current safety, quality & risk management legislation.
- Provide the appropriate training, support and access to expertise to enable delivery of our projects in a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible manner.
- Lead the relevant safety incident reporting for all project sites
- Contribute to the development, implementation and delivery of group wide policies, training and compliance with our Site, Project Management and group Health and Safety teams.
- Participate and lead workplace health safety quality and environment training programs as required.
- Coordinate / lead incident Investigations and timely close out of events and corrective actions.
- Participate in and champion the development and implementation of safety initiatives and workplace health safety quality and environment projects as required.
Knowledge and Skills
- A strong working knowledge of local site workplace health and safety legislation, regulations, standards, procedures, and codes of practice
- Knowledge of ISO 45001
- Excellent interpersonal and communication/influencing skills
- Demonstrates the skills to foster a supportive and high performing Health, Safety and Environment culture.
- Competent in Microsoft office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and written skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Tertiary level qualification in occupational health and safety or similar.
